Educating the marketplace, educating the general public
The EGIA Foundation’s mission, to expand the benefits the general public receives through the home services industry while developing its next generation of workers, starts with education. By educating the general public, we better prepare a potential workforce for employment in the industry while educating the home services consumer about what to expect, desire and demand from industry companies and contractors.
By educating the marketplace, we help industry companies – many of which consistently report an inability to find good employment candidates – understand the wants and needs of that potential workforce. In turn, they can better attract more desirable, interested employment candidates, thus minimizing the ever increasing gap between the home services workers needed and people entering the workforce.
