Empowering Tomorrow’s HVAC Heroes
The EGIA Foundation HVAC HERO Scholarship was established to recognize the excellent and deserving students seeking an HVAC technical education. This scholarship provides essential financial support to pursue residential HVAC, or home performance contracting careers.
Up to 30 eligible students per year are awarded a $2500 scholarship to put toward tuition costs at an accredited community college, technical/vocational school, or approved technical institute while working to obtain HVAC degree or certificate.

The EGIA Foundation developed AlwaysInDemand.com as a student-facing website designed to communicate the benefits of a trades career to young people and their families, including demand and growth opportunities, technological advancements, and the social impact they can have as trades professionals. It is here where students can apply for the HVAC HERO Scholarship.

Scholarship Requirements
Scholarships will be awarded based on eligibility requirements, academic merit, financial need and interest in pursuing a career in the HVAC industry. Below are the requirements for eligibility in the annual scholarship program:
Students must be enrolled* or plan to enroll in an HVAC technical program** at an accredited institution
Students must be US Citizens, US Nationals or US Permanent Residents based on US Department of Education
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in their previous coursework
Students Must be pursuing an Associate’s Degree, Certificate or Diploma from an HVAC technical program
Preference will be given to high school seniors and students aged 18-26.
*Current students must continue to be enrolled throughout the full duration of the scholarship year – example: enrolled through January 1, 2025 for the 2024-2025 scholarship cycle
**Applicants are required to upload documentation that the eligible HVAC program is offered at the school applied to/enrolled. Employees and children of employees of EGIA and the EGIA Foundation are ineligible to apply
